Welcome to Rock Ridge Farm.
We are located in a rural town in Western Massachusetts, owned and operated by Joseph and Anna Mascaro.
We are privileged to own one of the most beautiful, exquisite, enchanting and foremost, the most docile new breed of horse in the US.
He is known by many names, according to where one might live in the world, or the registry with which one happens to be affiliated. He can be called a Gypsy Horse, Coloured Cob, Irish Cob, Tinker, Gypsy Vanner or Gypsy Cob. But regardless of the name, they are all the same breed.
The Gypsy Horse, has been bred by the Romany and Travellers in the UK, for generations. He had to be solid of body and mind and powerful enough to pull heavy loads if necessary. Adaptable, under a variety of living conditions and most of all, possessing a quiet, sweet temperament, since he lived on the road as part of the family and often many young children were in camp.
We take pride in preserving these highly desirable traits which the Gypsies sought to produce. Our horses receive the utmost, in hands-on care, feeding and training.
Together, Joe and Anna invite you to browse our website and introduce you to our fine traditional young stallion, R.R. Dalton and our small herd of very select broodmares.
We are blending a vision for the future, with respect for the traditions of the past, to produce the type of horses that are impressing people all over the world.
Do join us as we move forward in this exciting journey.
